The Monkey and the Dolphin
It
happened some time back , that a particular Greek boat, set out toward Athens
was annihilated off the coast close to Piraeus, the port of Athens. Had it not
been for the Dolphins, who around then were pleasant toward mankind and
especially toward Athenians, all would have kicked the bucket. Nevertheless,
the Dolphins took the destroyed people on their backs and swam with them to
shore.
As of
now it was the custom among the Greeks to take their pet monkeys and canines
with them whenever they went on an excursion. So when one of the Dolphins saw a
Monkey engaging in the water, he thought it was a man, and made the Monkey
climb on his back. By then off he swam with him toward the shore.
The
Monkey sat up, grave and masterful, on the Dolphin's back.
"You
are an inhabitant of recognized Athens, are you not?" asked the Dolphin
agreeably.
"To
be sure," tended to the Monkey, readily. "My family is one of the
noblest around there."
"Without
a doubt," said the Dolphin. "By then clearly you often visit
Piraeus."
"Without
a doubt, yes," addressed the Monkey. "Without a doubt, I do. I'm with
him ceaselessly. Piraeus is my closest to perfect friend."
This
answer overpowered the Dolphin, and, turning his head, he right now saw what it
was he was passing on. Without more ado, he bounced and left the inept Monkey
to manage himself, while he swam off searching for some individual to save.
